The Wutai Project

Since I’ve written what’s linked above I’ve gotten into a lot of really interesting conversations about what other fans think the culture of Wutai would be like. Everyone’s ideas are extremely interesting and in places, very inter-sectional. To that end, I am going to start the Wutai Project this fall.

Basically I’m going to make an AO3 collection for fan made resources like the one linked above. Maps, music, myths, and studies would be included. I’d then be able to point to this as a joint resource when either I, or someone else, wants to write fic. If you’d like to help out, or be included, or have any ideas, let me know! Everyone will get full credit, since it’ll be submitted on AO3 and linked a lot in my journal/tumblr.

The only thing I’d ask is that you try to not contradict other “sources”, instead work with them. This way no one using this resource will run into confusion.

More discussion to come! I’ll probably want to skype about it the weekend before Otakon. I really encourage everyone to try to participate. No one’s canon is “too silly” or small or anything. I really would love to see a ton of folks involved.
